Mr. Scott G. Kartsounes — CEO
Scott G. Kartsounes has nearly two decades of experience
with entrepreneurial and corporate business development experience. One of his
unique advantages is his combined business and technology experience which allows
him to not only brainstorm new concepts, but follow them through to implementation.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to Intelligence, Inc., Mr. Kartsounes was involved
with many notable projects.
Mr. Kartsounes founded a music entertainment
firm in 1990. Over the following 13 years he served as the company’s President
and developed it into one of the highest rated firms in Chicago. The company
featured a staff of 12 entertainers and the very latest in cutting-edge sound,
lighting, and special effects technology. As President, Mr. Kartsounes was actively
involved with every aspect of the business, including the entertainment itself.
Over the years he personally entertained at thousands of public and private
events while working with well-known groups such as Kool & The Gang and KC &
The Sunshine Band. In 2003 Mr. Kartsounes sold the business which continues
to successfully operate to date.
In 1995 Mr. Kartsounes co-founded the world’s
first internet radio station. Serving as CEO, he successfully grew the company
from a 2 person operation to a staff of over 80 employees, ranging from support
staff to on-air personalities. Mr. Kartsounes served in every aspect of the
business, even hosting a respected radio show. In 1998 the station took over
operating control of a local cable TV channel to further expand its audience.
Exploding to be one of the internet’s most popular radio stations, featured
by Windows Media, MSN, and PBS, Mr. Kartsounes seized the opportunity to sell
the business at its peak in 2000. The organization which purchased the company
merged it with their own existing radio station, which continues to operate
to date.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures,
Mr. Kartsounes also has nearly a decade of experience as Vice President of Technology
for the nation's oldest and largest industrial publishing firm.
