Scott G. Kartsounes CEO
Scott is a business leader and entrepreneur with a background
in engineering and technology. He is one of the founders and source behind the
Intelligence, Inc. vision, a concept conceived from a former business.
Over the years Scott has been involved in a number of successful startups in the
entertainment, media, and publishing industries. In 1990, he founded a DJ entertainment
company and developed it into one of Chicago's largest and most requested firms,
eventually selling the business in 2003. Scott was a founder of one of the world's
first internet radio stations in 1996, which he led to record growth and subsequently
sold in 2001. In 2008, he co-founded an online planning directory publisher which
was later acquired by Intelligence, Inc. Scott was elected four times as
President of the Board of Directors at a downtown Chicago high-rise. He has over a decade of experience as Vice President
of Technology of the nation's oldest and largest industrial publishing firm, where
he executed the dramatic transformation of the company's century-old print
directories to online subscriptions. Scott has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois
at Chicago and an MBA from National Louis University in Chicago. He has been a guest speaker at international conferences.
Darren A. Hughes President
Darren holds a holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Computer Engineering from Illinois State University and has over a decade of
hands on experience with applications development, marketing, and management. Prior
to co-founding Intelligence, Inc., he held a position as the Director of Software
Services for a predominant Chicago consulting firm. Darren was involved with developing
many high profile projects including international web applications with multilingual
support. During his tenure at this firm, he focused on new development but was also
involved in multiple corporate acquisitions and the building of satellite branch
offices. Through the 90's Darren served nearly a decade as Vice President of one
of Chicago's leading DJ entertainment firms. At this time, he was also one of
the company's premier entertainers. This experience is what eventually led him to
co-develop Intelligence, Inc.'s first software solution. Darren has previously been
involved in other independent development projects. He held a lead development position
at a top ten global software company and a project management position at the association
industry's leading SharePoint consultancy firm. He is a member of the Project Management
Institute (PMI) where he is involved with the local Chicago chapter.
